His artwork details beautiful fractalised images of trees & plants that sit somewhere between stained glass and avante-garde art installation. Great post. Thank you. I really like that he's used safety glass. Safety glass is thicker, heavier and harder to break. It is manadated in most (developed) countries windows which open to a drop of 3 meters or so. Security glass is another matter again. The 6.2mm laminate has a sheet of polycarbonate sandwiched between layers of glass. It is hard to penetrate (like a windscreen). A lower cost alternative is a product by 3M, which is a virtually invisible film. When hit, the glass fractures but does not fall apart. It takes repeated heavy hitting to break the glass and then a knife to cut the film. This stuff is by no means impenetrable but it will take a while and will be noisy. Most crims will walk away after a hit or two. Check it out on YouTube for a visual illustration.
