 Social Media Marketing Made Easy

Social media a powerful tool - that can help to grow your business in today's world.

Getting people to interact and talk about your business is like getting a business referral.

When someone has a good experience or recommends your pages to their inner circle of followers, your business has the potential to be seen by hundreds and thousands of new customers.

Here are some important things to consider as to why investing time in social media is good for business:

Your Customers are Social

One of the biggest reasons to consider social media for business is that it has recently been reported that an overwhelming 73% of adults who use the internet, interact through one or more social media platforms daily.

Facebook continues to be the leader in popular social media with over 70% of all online adults using it. In addition - 40% of these people use more than one social platform – Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and more. If your business is regularly active on these channels, you have the potential to reach out to more people than you ever imagined.

The reason many website owners get overwhelmed when it comes to social media is there are just so many choices as to where to invest your limited time. Although the process may seem a little daunting at first, if you choose the right place to market your business, the end result can pay significant dividends.

Here are some key statistics to help with your next social media for business campaign:

Facebook

Over 60% of all users of Facebook visit the website at least once a day, with 40% of those visitors using it multiple times.

The largest group of Facebook users is between 19 and 29 years old, and comprises of over 80% of the entire websites users. This means if your business is not going to directly impact those users, you might want to focus your efforts on another social media platform. With over 60% of Facebook users making an annual income of $75,000, this is the one website where people with decent salaries socialise.

Twitter

Over 45% of all users of Twitter visit the website once a day, with 29% stopping by multiple times to check their feed. The highest amount of users again fell in the 19 to 29 age bracket, with approximately 18% of all adults who surf the web visiting Twitter each day.

LinkedIn

The demographics at LinkedIn are definitely geared towards the business professionals. LinkedIn is the only social network with the majority of daily visitors falling into the 50 to 64 year old bracket. LinkedIn is also the popular choice for adults who earn an income of over $75,000 a year.

Other sites like Pinterest and Instagram see high traffic each day and are geared more towards posting images than interacting in a social setting like Facebook and LinkedIn. Instagram was recently bought by Facebook and it is another useful platform from which to grow your brand.

These numbers on the social sites are a clear indication that the majority of people are spending a significant part of their day on social media.
